This page is a plain-language checklist for people who are new to the Rosny Farm Arts Centre or returning after a long break. When you want rotating highlights from across the program, open the Clarence Arts & Events home page. Dates and listings sit on What’s On, while background on staff, phones, and transport sits on About and Contact Us.
Plan your visit to Rosny Farm
Before you leave home
Check the day and time of your activity. Some events sit in The Barn at Rosny Farm while exhibitions are usually in the Schoolhouse Gallery. If you are joining a paid performance or workshop, read the booking notes on Tickets so you know what to show at the door.
Carry comfortable shoes, a water bottle, and weather layers. Tasmanian weather can swing quickly, even for a short visit across the Eastern Shore from Hobart.
Arrival, parking, and public transport
Rosny Farm sits near Eastlands at Rosny Park. Two hours of free parking is available in the areas described on our Contact Us page, together with Metro bus route numbers and notes for people riding from the CBD. Give yourself five to ten minutes to walk from a car park to the gallery or Barn entrance.
Companion Card holders are welcome at Council-run events. Mention companion requirements at the time you buy tickets so staff can seat you correctly.
Gallery hours and behaviour on site
The Schoolhouse Gallery is usually open 11am to 5pm Wednesday to Sunday, with 10am to 4pm winter hours. The site is family friendly: keep food and drink outside gallery rooms, supervise children near heritage surfaces, and speak with staff if you need a quiet break.
Photography rules can change per exhibition. Look for wall labels and follow any artist requests. If in doubt, ask at the desk before you post images online.
After your visit
Explore the full About section for exhibition programmes, community projects, and how Clarence Arts & Events links into Clarence City Council. When you are ready to browse more dates, return to the Clarence Arts & Events home page or go straight to What’s On to find the next workshop, film night, or festival event that matches your calendar.
