Collectors Roadshow

Rosny Farm Arts Centre

11am - 3pm, 07 April 2019

Tickets FREE

It’s time to raid the attics for those antiques and mystery objects you’ve always wanted to know more about. Hobart antique luminaries Gordon Brown, Warwick Oakman of Warwick Oakman Antiques and Ben Walker of Walker and Walker will be on hand to examine your items and dazzle with their expertise. With live gypsy jazz from local musos Django’s Tiger and delicious nibbles and coffee available, this promises to be an entertaining day for all in the delightful grounds of Rosny Farm Arts Centre.

The mystery objects on the day were:

1. A set of musical percussion instruments made from casuarina (c.1920, TAS)
2. A ‘vee dee’ vibrator medical instrument used to cure ‘hysteria’ in women in the 1900s
3. A French battalion backpack for climbing in and out of trenches in WWI.

Congratulations to our winner Anissa for guessing all three (nearly).
