Characters at Rosny: Alan Young

Alan Young was the Artist in Residence during the Clarence Jazz Festival in 2020. During the festival he went to several events, took some photos and did some sketches. Over the last year, he has developed a body of work that focuses on Rosny as a space – not just the Barn and the Schoolhouse but the wider area.  Some paintings are outside, and some paintings are inside. He sometimes zooms in and sometimes zooms out, as he visually maps his interpretation of the people’s experiences of the area.
