Architecture-man’s response to Nature Brendan Cooper

It is from nature that we find nearly everything to help us grow as people. Technology, food, medicine and shelter, are creations that have been drawn out from nature initially. It is nature that continues to influence man, unrelenting in its need for us to discover new ways to create and design.

The exhibition explores the idea that architecture is another means by which man has attempted to replicate nature. A city skyline could be compared to the rolling hills in the natural landscape, the sheer height of certain buildings mirrors that of trees, and colour is something that originated in nature and is now celebrated in all things relating to art and design.
