The first step is not to turn away: Lou-anne Barker

Bearing witness to the atrocities and mass deaths in Gaza creates a pool of grief that has few avenues of collective expression.
Gauze, used to dress wounds, originates in Gaza. The tenderness and care of stitching gauze creates a space to process grief and express truth-telling about the destruction in Gaza; a space in which to ask questions. How do we heal these generational wounds, and what is our responsibility when witnessing genocide?
