7th February 2017 represents the 50th anniversary of the tragic Black Tuesday bushfires in Tasmania. To commemorate this event and its impact on the people of Clarence, Clarence City Council has curated the exhibition What Would You Take to be shown in the Schoolhouse Gallery. Community members have contributed their stories about which precious objects they rescued from this catastrophic event and why these objects mean so much to them. This eclectic mix of artefacts combine to give some glimpse of the devastation of Black Tuesday, 1967.
