Sam Dobransky is the Clarence Jazz Festival’s Artist in Residence for 2021.

Sam Dobransky is an abstract contemporary artist currently residing in nipaluna/Hobart. His practice includes painting, installation and large-scale mural work that explores the meditative relationship of repetition within the artistic process.

For the Clarence Jazz Festival, Sam has created the diptych Don’t Worry ‘Bout Me, 2020 (Acrylic on marine hardwood) which is included in the striking festival brand. Don’t Worry ‘Bout Me playfully explores abstract repetition through an investigation into form and pattern. Sam has also created sculptural pieces that are presented across the Festival
